Silky and richly seductive, this wine is striking from first moment and does a great job of showing how Trotanoy has all the components needed to showcase the best of Pomerol. The colour has barely budged since its youth, and it exhibits the big frame and rich tannins that make it one of the most powerful Pomerols you can find - and yet it was dancing with minerality and rich black cassis, cherry and chocolate when I tasted it last. I love this wine.
