Gorgeous floral aromas, perfumed and blackcurrant dominant - a sweetness to the nose as opposed to savoury. On the palate this is succulent, juicy, alive and open. Tannins completely cover the mouth but there is such good fruit here and a spicy liquorice kick that comes in on the mid palate giving interest and structure. This feels the most round and ready to drink of the 2014s.  Situated 10km from Pauillac, the winery is owned by a charity which purchased the estate in the 1980s and is classified as an 'Etablissement et Service d’Aide par le Travail' which offers an important social programme enabling people with learning disabilities to work in vineyards and wine cellars.
