Blackcurrant and dark bramble berry fruit - chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. Quite tight and compact right now, a little shy even with tight but fine tannins and a cool, blue fruit and chalky palate. Acidity is there but in the background right now. I like the hints of minerality and wet stones that dot the finish. Clean, but a little tense. Would like to retaste this after ageing. 5.8ha on gravel and sand. Harvest September 27-October 8. Ageing 18 months 100% new oak. 3.7pH.
