From the Malet Roquefort stable, this is the second wine of Canon la Gaffelière, in production since the 1980s, and with a blend that has more than 90% Merlot. It shows a lovely mix of gently smoked oak, coffee grounds and vanilla but nothing too overpowering, with creamy damson fruits. Altogether a lovely entry point to its sibling.
