A return of this cuvée that hasn't been made over the past few years. Just three barrels were produced in 2024 from 140-year-old vines. Blue fruit, ink, iodine, salinity, mineral tones on the nose with ripe dark fruit aromas. Juicy but also instantly quite tightly packed and focused. This doesn't deviate much from the core with liquorice, mint, aniseed and cola. A touch of chew after a few minutes gives a round and filling mouthfeel with fine edges to the tannins. I actually really like this, it's focused and precise, with detail and lots of freshness. Feels characterful and although still quite tense and streamlined extends vertically to give layers and layers of flavour and texture. Ends super mineral. Accomplished.  Ageing 80% new French oak barrels for 16 months. 3.95pH.
