Ripe currants, plums, figs, redwood bark, white pepper, and coriander. Compact, superfine tannins carry a distinct mineral edge, revealing expressive blue fruits, leather, black truffle, charcuterie, and conifer. The tannins gradually build the medium- to full-bodied palate, finishing with power and intensity. This wine is a collaboration project with Gail Arpin, a fourth-generation producer from the Maillet lieu-dit. Just 50 cases were produced, all imported exclusively to the US market. The blend comprises 80% Merlot from 55-year-old vines and 20% Cabernet Franc from 45-year-old vines. The wine was aged for 19 months in neutral French oak. About the Winery: Founded by Marie-Laure Ammons in 2019, Nid Tissé ("Bird Nest") reflects her journey from France to California, inspired by her roots in Limousin. After working alongside renowned winemakers such as Philippe Melka, Julien Fayard, and Pierre Seillan, Marie launched her label, crafting terroir-driven wines that express her deep connection to the land and community of Napa Valley. In addition to her label, Marie also consults on several winemaking projects in the region.
