A moreish Chardonnay from Bugey, a little-known region that's west of Savoie and south of Jura, offering aromas of vanilla, cashew cream and sweet spice. The palate is silky and generous, with a creamy weight that coats the mouth before giving way to a refreshing mineral lift on the finish. There is a pleasing interplay between richness and tension, creating a Chardonnay that's comforting and textural, but also clean and refined with a whistle of cool Alpine air about the finish.
