Maison Bichot has produced this fine example of Bourgogne Côte d'Ôr from grapes sourced from Meursault, Puligny and Saint-Aubin. In 2019, low-yields add extra concentration, with 35% of the blend aged in oak for eight months (10% new oak) for extra depth while retaining crisp acidity and crystalline fruit flavours. A whiff of struck-match reduction on the nose gives this more than a hint of village-level Puligny or Meursault - impressive for this newly created quality tier.
