This wine is still youthful but is starting to open already, with aromas of currants and plums and a splash of kirsch along with deeper notes of dark chocolate and ginger. The charm and accessible suppleness on the palate in no way compromise the length or complexity of the finish. Produced from Bouchard's impressive 3.55 ha holdings at the top of the Aloxe slope, this is fermented with about 30% whole clusters before aging just over a year in cask (half new).
