This stylish premier cru from Paul and Mathis Carillon (François' sons) features notes of ripe nectarine and mandarin orange with hints of white flowers and manages to retain a surprising level of freshness to balance the density on the palate.  There are hints of smoky reduction and noticeable oak spice on the finish, but this should age well. The grapes are purchased from the family and are blended from all their premiers crus: Champ Gain, Folatières, Combettes and Perrières, bottled by hand with a chevre à deux becs (an old double-spouted bottling unit).
