This top-notch cuvée beguiles with expressive raspberry/blueberry fruit, notes of violets and a hint of spice. The texture is supple and more approachable than many Beaujolais 'super-cuvées' but there is no lack of depth. This is a selection of the best barrels produced from top southeast-facing sites on the steep Côte de Brouilly slope by this producer, acknowledged as among the best in the cru. This wine should be accessible fairly early but will continue to improve for at least 20 years to come.
