With its ripe mulberry fruit aromas coloured with a bit of smoke and earth from the cask-ageing, this whos a very pleasant depth of flavour and complexity. The texture is firm and tannic, with an exquisite, lingering finish. The grapes come from a parcel of 0.37 hectares, split between Comblanchien limestone and crinoidal limestone (calcaire à entroques). There is a relatively high percentage of whole clusters in the vat, and ages in cask over two winters.
