This very attractive regional-level Bourgogne features a pronounced lemon peel aroma and with gunflint and floral notes. The texture is crisp, fresh, and light, although there seems to be more ripeness here than in the other Bourgogne cuvée ‘Rue de Bois’. The vines here are en metayage from Pernot’s uncle; the grapes are pressed as whole clusters and fermented in mostly used casks without sulfur before bottling. This crisp, clean wine is perfect for current consumption.
