The village Santenay from Caroline Morey is a charming wine, with ripe, plummy fruit and a floral edge. The texture is silky, not overly profound, but thoroughly drinkable. The grapes are from the southern end of Santenay, on the slopes above the premiers crus band. Partially destemmed and matured briefly in barrel, they have been racked to tank and will be bottled shortly.
