Shows the substance and depth to please early yet age well. This is firmly tannic but dense and substantial; no astringency and enough extract and freshness to carry it to a pleasantly lingering finish. The grapes are fermented as whole clusters before ageing over two winters, primarily in used casks. The 2019 is delightful, with ripe blackberry and plum fruit and a hint of menthol and earth.
