Very pleasant raspberry fruit aroma with a hint of violets. The tannins are firm, and significant fresh acidity ensures that there is no heaviness or astringency here. The overall impression is that this thoroughly pleasant wine is punching above its weight. Les Champs Longues is just north of the village of Chorey, at the mouth of the combe leading to the Hautes-Côtes. The fruit is given a luxurious treatment: 60% whole clusters in the fermentation and ageing in 70% new casks.
