Tasted at the domaine with Thierry Brouin, the 2006 Lambrays boasted a lovely currant and pomegranate fruit aroma, but it was a bit earthier and more rustic than other recent vintages. The texture is firmly tannic and somewhat four-square. It may be the case that this will open with a bit more time in bottle, but it does not have the voluptuous character of the 2005 or the finesse of the 2007.
