This bottling from Jessiaume is among the most satisfying red wines of the appellation in 2024, with a deep ruby colour and a profoundly aromatic nose with plummy fruit and hints of earth, smoke and spice. The texture is noticeably more tannic and firm than the classic Gravières, and the finish is longer. The wine is a barrel selection from the estate's oldest vines in Gravières. This year, there are three barrels and two are new, so it is marked by the wood, but this should dissipate with time.
