The ripe, plummy fruit aromas, touched with earth and spice, are elegant yet sophisticated, leading into a silky, fine texture that displays tannic grip but no awkward rustic edges and a finish that is surprisingly long for the vintage. The grapes are from 1.2ha located in the centre of the premier cru slope, split between the climats of Bréterins and Reugne. This wine will drink well shortly after release, but is substantial enough for mid-term ageing.
