Bright cherry red, with aromas of cherry aromas too, as well as cranberries, rosehips and raspberry stem. There's an earthy, fresh soil note too. Dried leaves, and a touch of game meat. The acidity is high and mineral. This is from quite a cool year, one that was not generally considered great, or at least more of a vintage for early drinking. And yet this is sitting pretty five years on and still showing lots of lovely fruit and florals, alongside a touch of dried cranberry. Delicate in structure, light and dainty, perfumed, with a cherry sweet finish.
