From yields of a mere 15hl/ha, Boillot’s Volnay villages is very pretty this year, bursting with aromas of wild blueberry, blackcurrant and a touch of currant leaf. On the palate the wine is nicely concentrated and notably ripe, with 13.5% natural alcohol, with real breadth and dimension, finishing with some taut structuring tannin on the back end.
