It's always interesting to compare the Clos des Hospices bottlings from the two sides of the Moreau family's 1ha holding. This is the less oaky and arguably the more Chablisien of the pair, with plenty of power and intensity, considerable 'tension' as they like to say in the region, some stone fruit sweetness and a racy, refreshing finish. The water-retaining clay soils seem to have helped in the heat of the vintage.
