Good colour, quite youthful in appearance. A little subdued on the nose and lacking the extra dimensions expected. Soft, easy and balanced on the palate. There are voluptuous dark red berry notes here, pleasing acidity and the tannins (although evident) are nice and ripe. A soft, fleshy style of 2003 which has very good purity and good complexity of flavour. Finishes with a nice lift.
