Classically pale in colour, this is a fragrant Passetoutgrains – the nose layered with pepper spice and delicate florals. The fruit is vibrant yet open, speaking of the ripeness of the year, with juicy and sweet strawberry and a creamy touch, with a pleasing earthiness and crushed-rock minerality to the finish. From a vineyard approaching 100 years in age, it spends 18 months in used barrels.
