Tightly drawn on the nose, the garnet-tinted and bright 2011 leads to an equally tightly fisted palate. Though notes of raspberry, pink grapefruit and freshly cut herbs slowly try to surface, its flavours remain mostly slumbering in the backdrop. A bit austere in structure with firm, slightly jagged tannins, this wine really demands another 5-7 years of cellaring. A more structured, mineral and terroir-driven 2011.
