There is just one cuvée of village Volnay this year, as quantities were sadly too small to bottle the domaine’s best parcels separately as Vendanges Sélectionnées, but the resulting wine is lovely, opening in the glass with notes of ripe wild berries, strawberry and violets. On the palate the wine is medium-full, sapid and juicy, with bright, vibrant fruit tones and a framing of fine, chalky tannins which assert themselves on the finish.
