Bright blackberry fruit, with hints of smoke and earth. On the palate it is firm and tannic, yet never loses its appealing perfume. This village-level lieu-dit is located at the base of the hill crowned with the Clos des Cortons Faiveley in Ladoix, just before the Route Nationale. Mallard has 0.48ha here, which he started picking on the 20th of August. The fruit is partially destemmed (30% whole-bunch) and punched down during fermentation before ageing in cask (25% new).
