This Coteaux Bourguignons is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, and it's showing big captivating fruit on the nose. Cranberry and raspberry edged with sweet vanilla. It's more tangy and crunchy in the mouth than expected, mouthwatering because the acidity is so tangy and long. I love the hit of Maraschino cherry you get on the finish, because it seems to mellow out the slight greenness and austerity that creeps in at the end. Grapes were destemmed, and aged in barrel for 14 months.
