The village-level Pommard from Pierrick Bouley has a medium-deep ruby hue and pretty, forward blackberry fruit coloured with floral notes. The texture is more tannic and firmer than his Volnays, yet still supple and approachable. The grapes are blended from two parcels; one in the lieu-dit Les Chanlins and a small parcel on the flat, all on the Volnay side. The vines are very old, and Bouley has been replanting, so there are currently just 0.25 hectares in production.
