The second solo vintage for Jean-Marie Ponsot. Despite a colour that is still reasonably dark for its age, this wine shows a pronounced but more mature and evolved bouquet. On the palate, the acidity is very prominent, and the finish was less than overwhelming. The fruit is starting to drop out a bit. This wine is not unpleasant, but neither is it at the level of most of these wines.
