This wine gives the lie to anyone who denigrates the whites of Marsannay, since this is a wine of concentration, complexity and depth, with pronounced citrus and nectarine aromas and a pleasantly salty minerality. There is tension and snap here, even in a warm vintage, and enough structure to draw this to an impressively long finish. The grapes are from a 3ha monopole in the village of Couchey. They are lightly crushed before fermentation in large, mostly old, barrels.
