Focused aromas of lime and tarragon. The texture is crisp, almost taut, but the vibrant acidity is perfectly balanced by the dense concentration. Pataille explains that this east-facing site has more clay in the soil, yielding a wine with more structure. He ferments in cask (one-third new) and ages the wine for 24 months before release. Powerful and could use a couple of years in bottle before opening.
