This remains stunning after 35 years in the cellar, with notes of apricot, toasted hazelnuts, cocoa and a hint of butter. The texture is ripe, almost lush, but there is enough acidity to bring the wine into balance, and the flavours echo seemingly forever on the palate. Mature but still lively and fresh, there is just a hint of butterscotch, but you could easily keep this in the cellar.
