This is excellent in this challenging vintage, with a complex and expressive bouquet of preserved lemon, nutmeg, fresh butter and dried white flowers. The wine is full-bodied, glossily textural and quite open-knit, with a nice lick of minerals on the finish. This may well tense up after its second winter on the lees, but it will be a comparatively forward rendition of this cuvée.
