The Beaune Cras is superb this year, opening in the glass with a lovely bouquet of red and black cherry, dark chocolate and roast game, elegantly framed by new oak. On the palate the wine shows superb focus, structured around fine-grained tannins and a bright line of succulent acidity. Its finish is long and flavourful.
