Lemon peel, Williams pear and green apple fruit come to the fore in this lovely wine, whose oyster shell minerality and floral notes develop only with time. There is a fresh, vibrant acidity on the palate but the wine is not tart; rather, a silky texture carries the wine to a rewardingly long finish. The grapes from this right-bank premier cru are gently crushed and fermented in tank (70%) and 500L casks (30%); the wine is aged 15 months on the lees. This wine will drink well young, but has the potential to age.
