An attractive wine, with a ripe, plummy fruit underscored by aromas of dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is surprisingly structured although there is nothing forbidding here, just a Marsannay made to age. Although winemaker Frédéric Barnier doubts the Marsannay premier crus will be announced in less than five years, this will likely be among them. Jadot's 0.84ha of Longeroies is located in a prime midslope position and is in organic conversion from this year. The fruit is destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (35% new).
