There are only two barrels of Les Champs Fuillots, a premier cru that borders the Volnay premier cru of Clos des Chênes. The wine opens in the glass with a complex bouquet of black cherry, game, bitter chocolate and rich forest floor, leading into a rich, nicely concentrated palate with a firm chassis of fine, slightly chewy tannins and a long, flavourful finish. This is quite serious and will need some time in the cellar to realise its potential.
