<p>Jadot is the sole owner of this 1.3-hectare site. The wine is often dense and structured, although this may be the consequence of winemaker Jacques Lardi&egrave;re&rsquo;s vinification style as well as a reflection of the site. Lardi&egrave;re, who has since retired, was non-interventionist, favouring natural yeasts and long fermentations at quite high temperatures. Always prone to mystical explanations, he liked long, warm vinifications in order to liberate a sense of place. The wine ages for around 15 months in oak. Jadot also produces a Clos des Ch&ecirc;nes in most vintages. Michael Schuster Light, fine tannins, delicate, ripe, red fruits subtle minerality; has length and class. Fine, mineral, aromatic length; Volnay delicacy and charm. Very pretty, clear premier class and finesse. Complete for the vintage. Steven Spurrier Ripe red fruits on the nose, fresh and clean on the palate with a good weight of fruit and oak well-blended in. Great definition and precision, and tannins for a good future. Sebastian Thomas Nose of lifted, pretty, red-cherry fruit, floral notes and minerality. Nice fruit density, pure, with a lovely weave. Tannins are fine, nicely delineated. Bright and vibrant with good energy and a long, fruity finish. Excellent.</p>
