The deep, cassis-scented fruit shows a charmingly sweet elegance and a velvety texture that is at once supple and very fresh. This wine should drink well young, but it also has the substance for long ageing. Leroux explains that the vines here are planted in a disused quarry and thus on an older layer of rock than those in neighboring Charmes.  The result in 2020 is promising indeed.
