The single lieu-dit Caraby provided the fruit for this village-level Mercurey, which boasts more tension and depth than the other offerings from Chanzy, with aromas of lemon peel, nectarine and quince. The grapes are from a 0.32ha parcel that faces south at the base of the slope. They are gently pressed and fermented in large oak barrels before being racked to tank to finish their maturation.
