There is a lovely ripe cherry fruit aroma with hints of rose petal and liquorice on the nose of this expressive Corton. The texture is silky and lighter than some from this appellation, yet there is impressive length despite the ethereal feel, and the fresh acidity carries the wine to a delicate but lasting finish. The grapes come from a parcel of fifty-year-old vines at mid-slope in this prime Aloxe terroir. Millemann partially destems the grapes and gently ferments before ageing the wine in new casks.
