The Cuvée Madeleine Collignon is routinely one of the very finest wines produced by the Hospices, and it typically has enough stuffing to stand up to the 100% new oak which all the Hospices’ wines see every vintage. On the nose, wild black fruits, bitter chocolate, iodine, venison and rich soil tones mingle with a spicy framing of Hospice cooperage, introducing an ample, full-bodied and intensely flavourful wine, with fine but abundant tannins and a deep core of sweet fruit.
