A warm, balanced plummy fruit, with notes of earth, mineral, anise and liquorice. The texture is silky and expressive, with impressive depth of flavour, supple, well-managed tannins and a lingering finish that would be the envy of many winemakers. Sourced from the parcel next to the Clos de Ruchottes, Pacalet ferments this mostly as whole clusters and ages largely in used casks.
