Ripe aromas of black plum, peony and exotic spices. The texture is edgy with tannin and crisp, fresh acidity, but there is an elegant balance and enough substance to ensure a lingering finish. A few years in bottle will round out the edges. The grapes come from 0.25ha in the south-facing lieu-dit Côte de Moutier, a blend of 92% Pinot Noir and 8% César. The wine sees no wood, which accounts for the lovely purity of fruit.
