This deliciously different wine from 100% Pinot Gris charms with spicy aromas, hints of Mirabelle plum, and a suggestion of smoky reduction on the nose that lead into a texture that deftly balances a waxy richness with fresh acidity. The grapes are from three parcels in Marey-lès-Fussey that total 90 ares that are pressed as whole bunches, fermented in cask (50% new) before ageing nine months. The result delivers a wine that will show well on release but will hold for at least five year.
