The wine has a smoky allure, with notes of mineral, lemon peel, quince and butter. On the palate, there is a lovely richness, an almost tropical note to the fruit and a dense texture that is very alluring. This is very close to the parcel of Mâcon-Vergisson, but faces southeast and is thus classified with Pouilly Fuissé. The grapes are picked ripe and carefully pressed without rolling the press, before being run into cask with most of the lees for fermentation and reductive ageing.
