Two casks purchased as must from a large holding on the Puligny side of Montrachet. Here the grapes were picked very late, at almost 15% potential alcohol, and this is really extra-rich, with super-ripe apple fruit, spice and a floral note that is almost honeysuckle. Despite all this richness, the terroir is such that there is still enough freshness on the palate to bring the wine back into an elegant balance.
