The famous name of Agrapart in the Côte des Blancs is today split into two separate producers: Pascal continues at Pascal Agrapart, while Fabrice debuts the new project Agrapart Avize with this Atoma cuvée. It's an alluring, precise and modern blanc de blancs that shows both intensely ripe Chardonnay fruit and precise, chalky poise. It's not an austere or especially narrow blanc de blancs, with the youngest wines coming from the hot 2022 vintage, but the open, roasted apricot, yellow apple, chamomile and sweet nut notes marry beautifully with a fluent, graceful build and detailed citric focus. A fine start for an exciting new name in the Côte des Blancs.
