Champagne Castelnau recently celebrated their centenary in 2006, and today source their grapes from over 900 hectares across 155 unique crus, from over 750 growers. Overseen by Chef de Cave Elisabeth Sarcelet, Castelnau's wines are well known for their extensive lees ageing, with this 2005 Blanc de Blancs spending 12 years on its lees. The assemblage combines a majority of Chardonnay from Montagne de Reims with a smaller percentage from Côte des Blancs.
